Meet Dr. Misdraji
Dr. Misdraji is an optometrist with over 25 years of expertise. She started her career as a Registered Nurse before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of different settings, including private practice, large HMO clinics, nursing homes, and medical centers. She specializes in diabetic retinopathy, dry eyes, and other ocular diseases and has made it her mission to provide patient-centered care.
Dr. Misdraji is also committed to providing access to quality care to underserved communities. She has volunteered with VOSH (Volunteer Optometrist Services to Humanity) and regularly mentors new optometrists.

Dr. Misdraji specializes in a variety of different eye conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, and foreign body removal.
Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic retinopathy occurs when the blood vessels in the retina are damaged due to diabetes (type 1 or type 2). The longer you have diabetes, the more you are at risk of this condition. While there are often no symptoms in the early stages of diabetic retinopathy, as it progresses, you may notice blurred vision, floaters, and dark spots. When you come in for treatment, Dr. Misdraji will review your symptoms and examine your eyes. From there, she will determine the right treatment for your needs.
Dry Eye Syndrome
Dry eye syndrome occurs when you don’t create enough tears to lubricate your eyes. While it can be a very annoying condition, it can also cause problems with your vision and lead to symptoms like stinging and burning, blurry vision, a gritty or scratchy feeling, and red eyes. With Dr. Misdraji’s expertise, you can finally find the relief you deserve.
Foreign Body Removal
Dr. Misdraji also specializes in removing foreign objects from the eyes. If an object can’t be removed from the eye by flushing it out, professional help is needed, and it usually requires an emergency appointment. Dr. Misdraji will gently remove the object and ensure you receive the help you need to make sure your eye heals properly.

Dr. Archana Gupta
Dr. Archana Gupta is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery. With expertise in comprehensive eye care, she performs a wide range of procedures including complex cataract surgeries, corneal transplants, LASIK, and PRK. Dr. Gupta completed her cornea fellowship at the University of Minnesota and ophthalmology residency at the University of Buffalo. As a clinical instructor at Nova Southeastern University/Larkin Community Hospital, she contributes to resident education while maintaining an active research profile with peer-reviewed publications. Known for her empathetic approach, Dr. Gupta provides individualized care using state-of-the-art technology at Advanced Eye Surgeons in Boca Raton and Tamarac, FL.
